Our mission, goals, and practices to create more ethical standards in the fields of surrogacy and egg donation.

The Society for Ethics for Egg Donation and Surrogacy (SEEDS) is a nonprofit group which started with the intent of defining ethical practices for egg donation and surrogacy programs. We are working to provide a self-regulation framework for professionals and offer ethical guidelines which benefit all stakeholders in our industry.

SEEDS strives to create and maintain a community which focuses on ethics in each and every facet of this process. Our organization understands the importance, not only to the professional community, but to the general public, in defining ethical business practices so this remains a viable family building option for generations to come.

A large portion of our efforts goes towards educating our members through the SEEDS Education Committee by creating, preparing, and facilitating educational opportunities for SEEDS Membership. In order to become a member and maintain membership, each member organization must meet certain educational participation guidelines in an effort to increase knowledge and ethical practices within each member’s professional role.

How can we learn, grow, evolve, and pivot as individuals and professionals? By leaning on each other for collaboration, education, and support. Our mentorship program provides these opportunities to members who would like to mentor or become a mentee within our non-profit organization.
