In light of the recent allegations and facts that have come to light regarding Mark Surrogacy (as reported on widely by national and international news outlets), the SEEDS Board has taken decisive action.

Our mission is to safeguard the integrity of egg donation and surrogacy practices, and to ensure that all parties—intended parents, surrogates, and donors—are treated with dignity, respect, and care. SEEDS feels very strongly about the sanctity of this community and we as professionals serving this community need to work together to safeguard against these kinds of situations that threatens family building for all. These types of situation highlight the very reason why SEEDS exists and why we need ethical standards.

After careful review, we have chosen to terminate the SEEDS memberships of certain professionals known to have been involved in this situation.

We did not come to this decision lightly. However, the seriousness of the allegations and facts demands accountability, and SEEDS is firmly committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in the field of assisted reproduction.

We will continue to monitor developments closely and remain steadfast in our responsibility to protect the trust placed in our field.
